These films were developed as a prototype for a larger project to create a Virtual Reality Experience of Consulting the Oracle of Zeus at Dodona, which was funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council (AH/T004673/1).
This site provides four short films that re-enact historical oracular consultations at the ancient Greek oracle of Zeus and Dione, at Dodona in Epirus. The films can be viewed separately (1-4) or as one, longer film (‘in one film‘).
The films are immersive–360 degree videos. Follow these viewing instructions for how to watch on your phone, computer or using a VR headset, such as Google Cardboard.
For those using these films as part of their academic studies, the pages below also provide some suggested questions for discussions.
